Bliss Loves to Give a Little Back!

 

Bliss always loves to give a little back, so once we had the idea for a fundraiser for Open Arms Malawi there was no stopping us! Beverley Silver's daughter Chania was so touched by hearing what Richmond House School had done for the charity in the past that she told her parents all about it, and the idea was born. 

A glamorous evening of pampering at the gorgeous Bliss Spa, where attendees could enjoy beautiful live music a glass of wine or sparkling water whilst getting their nails done and learning about Open Arms Malawi. 

Open Arms Malawi provide medical attention, shelter, food and love to some of Malawi’s orphaned and abandoned children and work to ensure that the children in their care  have the chance to grow up with the love of a family and the security of a home.

They return, support and monitor immunised and fit toddlers to their relatives when they can, creating families and avoiding institutional care and in doing so enable communities to provide nutritious meals and nursery education to the orphans and vulnerable children within their community.

 Richmond House have been fundraising for the charity for years, and Bliss couldn't wait to get involved, offering parents, pupils and teachers of Richmond House a fabulous night of treatments with 100% of the profits going to Open Arms Malawi.

The event was a success with attendees leaving feeling pampered and full of knowledge about the charity. Most importantly, we managed to raise a sum of money to help some of the people who need it the most.
