The Bliss Guide to Microblading and Powder Brows

The Bliss Guide to Microblading and Powder Brows

Bliss are pleased to offer both microblading and powder brows. Both are popular eyebrow treatments, but if you still have questions, read on to find out what they both are, and the difference between the two.
Both brow treatments are forms of cosmetic tattooing and they have a lot in common, however there are some distinct differences.
.
Microblading

involves using tiny, fine-point needles rather than a tattoo gun. It is used to create the illusion of fuller brows.

Your expert therapist will help you to determine the best colour and shape for your face before cleaning and numbing the area in preparation. Next, the therapist uses the a little hand-held tool made up of the fine point needles to manually draw hair strokes. Finally a finishing treatment is added to help the skin to heal. The treatment is a little painful, but so worth it for the amazing results!

The entire process can take between 30-60 minutes, and the results generally last between 1-3 years depending on your skin type, facial products, and lifestyle. Your therapist will discuss aftercare with you, which is essential to avoid infection.

Powder brows

Using a cosmetic tattoo machine, hundreds of tiny dots of pigment are implanted into the skin which resembles a soft powder finish. Once healed, the results look like you've just powdered your brows in perfectly. Powdered brows can be done with a machine or hand tool in order to create an ombre look instead of individual hair strokes.

Powder brows are better suites to those wanting a soft makeup look, or individuals with oily skin or mature skin.Powdered brows traditionally last for 2-4 years.

Both brow styles can be adjusted to look soft or intense depending on your style and desired look. The look that you are trying to achieve and your skin type both play a large role in choosing the best brow treatment for you. Ask our expert therapists for advice if you're unsure which is right for you.
