What's new in Leeds in 2020

We love our vibrant, lively city. We adore all of our old reliable favourite shops, restaurants, bars, and hangouts. But one of the other draws of Leeds is that it's ever-changing. Sometimes it's hard to keep up with the latest in Leeds! So here are five of the top NEW things coming to Leeds in 2020!

1. Yorkshire Pudding Festival

Can you believe that it's taken until 2020 for Yorkshire puddings to get their own festival? In a world first, Leeds Kirkgate Market will host the Yorkshire Pudding Festival on 1st February 2020. Street food traders and local eateries will be serving up innovative mouth-watering dishes all centred around the classic Yorkshire pudding. 

2. Planet Ice

It's finally happening, we've waited so long! After seven long years of construction, the much-awaited ice rink will open on Elland Road early this year.With skating classes, ice hockey, and ice dancing, there's plenty of things to get excited about.

3. Leeds Gin School and Distillery

It's back to school for gin lovers this year. Learn all about gin, including how it's made, and even create your own with a choice of over 100 different botanicals! Have we died and gone to gin heaven?

4. Ghetto Golf

Get-to ready for the new adults-only golf bar coming to Kirkstall this year. Based on other branches, we can expect a shocking themed golf course, and a quirky cocktail list to sip through whilst you play.

5. Flight Club

If you love darts, you will adore Flight Club. Expect dart boards around every corner, fast-paced multi-player games, modern dart technology and an instant scoring system, as well as craft beer, cocktails, burgers and sharing plates.
